Windsor Laurelwood offers two levels of inpatient care to assist individuals on the road to recovery. Treatment in these programs is provided by a team of caring licensed professionals experienced in the assessment and treatment of adults with Chemical Dependency. These programs are designed as a multi-disciplinary approach to treatment and encompass a variety of therapies, including individual, group, family, recreational and art. All treatment is provided in the context of the 12-step Program Model.
Families and other supports are important contributors to success in recovery and therefore their involvement is encouraged including participation in the weekly family day program. The Program provides family members with an opportunity into the ways in which they have been affected by the disease of chemical dependency and to learn how to recover. Alcoholics and Addicts, and those that love them and are closest to them, are affected physically, mentally, emotionally, socially and spiritually. Our mission is to educate the family about their loved ones illness and how it affects the entire family unit.
The Detoxification Program is for Adults who require medically supervised withdrawal from alcohol and/or drugs. The Program is supervised by a board certified addictionologist who leads a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including nurses and counselors, in providing treatment to patients during the detoxification process. The goal of this program is to provide a safe medically monitored detoxification from the substance being abused and engage the patient and family in the Recovery process.
Inpatient Chemical Dependency Rehabilitation
The Clinically Managed Rehabilitation Program is designed for Adults who are at risk of relapse and require the supportive structure of an inpatient rehabilitation program. Patients will be under the medical supervision of a board certified Addictionologist, nursing staff and counselors. Patients address their chemical dependency issues in group settings and individual work with certified/licensed chemical dependency counselors on relapse prevention. The goal of this program in to engage patients and family in the recovery and educate on the disease process to create the best opportunity for relapse prevention. Length of stay in this program is variable but can be as long as twenty-eight days.
