
In collaboration with Lake Geauga Recovery Centers, Inc., Windsor-Laurelwood Center for Behavioral Medicine presented the second installment of the three-part 2010 Professional Education Series for substance abuse prevention titled “Hallucinogens—The Neurobiology of Addictions.”
WILLOUGHBY, Ohio – (May 25, 2010) – “Each day is a brighter day” for thousands of patients at Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. facilities nationwide. Staff members at Windsor-Laurelwood Center will be using that theme to raise awareness of mental health issues and to underscore the importance of behavioral healthcare for overall health and economic impact.
An increasing community need coupled with decreased donations to the Cleveland Foodbank inspired the staff at Windsor-Laurelwood Center to organize its own food drive. From May 3-7, the staff members opened their pantry doors and wallets to donate more than 1,000 pounds of food to the Foodbank, which in turn distributes the items to more than 450 hunger centers throughout Northeast Ohio.
WILLOUGHBY, Ohio - (Oct. 1, 2009) - Windsor-Laurelwood Center (WLC), the largest freestanding behavioral health facility in Ohio, recently added new expertise to its adult psychiatric and addictions programs. Irene Shulga, M.D., joined the hospital's multidisciplinary team of behavioral health and addiction professionals in early September bringing with her specializations in dual diagnosis treatment and adult general psychiatry.
